Lusty Glaze, Newquay: surf report and beach guide

Live surf, wind and tide for Lusty Glaze, worked out through the day and ranked against the other Newquay beaches.

A cove worth the look on its own. Bar, restaurant, events. The 133 steps rule it out for some, and it is privately run.

RNLI lifeguards roughly 19 May to 30 September, usually 10am to 6pm; the RNLI publishes exact dates each spring.

    Dogs all year.

Parking: Lusty Glaze Road, council, 5 min, then 133 steps, worth checking.

    Surf guide

Bottom: Sand. Suits: Beginners to intermediate. Crowd: Usually quiet. Watch out for: Cliffs all round. Check the tide before walking round from Tolcarne. Boards: Anything. On the beach: Bar, restaurant, lifeguards in season; privately run, 133 steps down.

Rips. Nothing published for this beach, which is not the same as nothing there. Ask the lifeguards.no source found, September 2026
